Induction Heating Equipment/Constant Velocity Joint (CVJ) Hardening & Tempering Equipment

In addition to heat treating the typical short shaft/internal spline (TJ, BJ, DOJ) CV joints, we can heat treat 450 mm long shaft type CV joints, as well.

The fastest processing time is 16 sec/unit for short types. High-efficiency coils are used in the shaft part to reduce takt times, and we have experience in simultaneous heating in one position of the grooved parts and shaft parts. DKK also has extensive experience in hardening equipment for propeller shaft joints and flange-type joints.

What are Constant Velocity Joints?

Constant velocity joints (CV joints) are driveshaft parts used to transmit drive from an automobile engine to the wheels.

CV joints facilitate the transmission of rotational force from the engine to the driveshaft and to the wheels with minimum loss, even when there are significant bends along the way.

CV joints are widely used in front wheel drive vehicles, but they are used in rear wheel drive vehicles, as well, for their sound-damping properties.
